Dan Bostelman

Owner/Operator
Dan is the owner/operator of Straight Line Lawn Care LLC. The company was founded in 1997 by his father, Larry, in Defiance, Ohio. In 2017, Dan committed to growing this business full-time, utilizing his experiences in Law Enforcement and the Military to develop a community-minded and award-winning team of professionals with diverse backgrounds.
Larry passed away in 2019, and Dan and his team honor Larry’s legacy, striving for excellence and exceeding expectations in innovation and service.
Dan is married to Brooke and they have three children: Kipton, Kolton & Indi.
Brooke Bostelman

Co-Owner, Administrative Executive, + Human Resources
Brooke is the wife of owner Dan Bostelman and the mother of their three children. Brooke has served in the United States Air Force for over 17 years and recently stepped away from her 10 year Active Duty tour to work alongside Dan and the Straight Line Team to help support and grow the company.
From providing encouragement and motivation to helping with administrative tasks like record-keeping and billing, Brooke will continue to improve business operations and reach new customers. She is excited about serving the community and helping create outdoor living families can enjoy.
Guiseppe Blanchard

Director Of Operations
Guiseppe joined the Straight Line Outdoor team in August 2023. Before joining Straight Line, Guiseppe was Director of Operations and Workforce Development at the Defiance Dream Center. Guiseppe brings over 27 years of organizational and supply chain management experience to Straight Line Outdoor. Prior to his time at the Defiance Dream Center, Guiseppe and his family lived in northern Cincinnati and he worked as Supply Chain Manager overseeing the purchasing, sourcing, inventory management, warehousing and logistics departments for a manufacturer of air movement products to industrial, commercial, municipal and military customers across the world. Guiseppe holds a Business Administration degree from Defiance College and a Business Management degree from Northwest State Community College.
Guiseppe and his wife, Brooke, have been married 25 years and have three children Alexis, Eowyn, and Ezekiel. Their oldest daughter, Alexis, is married to the love of her life, Matthew, and in August 2023 they welcomed their daughter, Iyana, into the world. When time and schedule permits Guiseppe loves to hunt and fish with his family. In addition, Guiseppe and Brooke have a small hobby farm where they love to garden, raise animals and experiment with homesteading concepts.
Cole Commisso

Landscape Foreman
Cole Commisso, is the Landscape Foreman at Straight Line Outdoor. With 6 months of experience, he has mastered the art of attention to detail and leadership in the landscaping industry.
Prior to joining Straight Line, Cole served as a Landscaping Assistant at Kellermeyer Inc. in Defiance, OH, where he excelled at tasks such as installing fences, hauling and spreading stone and mulch. He also worked as a Carpentry Assistant at JAK’S Barnwood Furniture in Florida, OH, where he showcased his skills in cutting, sanding, staining, and building tables. Cole is a graduate of Tinora High School in Defiance, OH, where he graduated with honors, a 4.0 GPA, and was the captain of both the football and baseball teams. In fact, he was named First Team All-Ohio in baseball and Honorable Mention All-Ohio in football.
Cole graduated with an Associates in Banking and Finance from Northwest State Community College, Archbold, OH. He is a 2023 Dean’s List and a Troy Richie Scholarship Recipient. With his impressive background and dedication, Cole is a valuable asset to the Straight Line Team and crew lead in the Landscape Division.

Landscape Crew Member
Conor joined the Straight Line team fall of 2024. He is a 2024 graduate of Tinora High School where he was a stellar athlete & leader. With a few months experience, he has mastered the art of landscape construction & operating heavy equipment.
Conor enjoys being outdoors, hunting, playing corn hole & hanging out with his family.
His motivation, positive attitude & leadership makes him one of the most valuable assets to the Straight Line Team.

Nick Thacker

Snow & Ice Division Foreman & Lawn Division Commercial Lawn Applicator
Nick is a specialized commercial lawn applicator with six years of experience in lawn care and proficiency as a machinery operator. He has developed an exceptional skill set in maintaining and beautifying outdoor spaces. With a keen understanding of different grass types, soil compositions, and varying environmental factors, Nick delivers tailored solutions to clients, ensuring healthy, vibrant lawns.
Nick is adept at operating a range of machinery, including lawn mowers, trimmers, aerators, and fertilization equipment, leveraging this expertise to efficiently execute tasks and achieve optimal results. His commitment to precision and attention to detail sets him apart as a specialist in the industry. Employing a holistic approach to lawn care, Nick prioritizes environmental sustainability and client satisfaction, offering personalized advice and utilizing eco-friendly practices.
Nick joined the Straight Line team in the Fall of 2023. He excels in the Lawn Application Division and the Landscape and Lawn Care spectrums.
He is a dedicated husband to Jessica and father to their three children. Nick serves as the Defiance Baseball Committee President and is a coach for Defiance Baseball.
JT Nusbaum

Landscape/Enhancements Division Specialist
John Nusbaum (JT) is a passionate lawn and landscape specialist with a zest for adventure and a love for nature. For the past four years, JT has been an invaluable member of the Straight Line Outdoor team, where his talents in mowing and design have truly shined. He is a graduate of Fairview High School & lives in the Defiance area.
When he's not transforming outdoor spaces into stunning works of art, JT can be found pursuing his dream of becoming a pilot. He is currently working on his private pilot's license, eager to take to the skies and explore the world from above.
In his free time, JT channels his love for the great outdoors by working as a whitewater rafting guide during summer breaks. Guiding thrill-seekers down rushing rivers, he shares his passion for nature and adventure with others, creating unforgettable experiences along the way.
With his unique combination of landscaping expertise, aviation aspirations, and outdoor guiding skills, JT is a true renaissance man whose dedication and creativity make him an indispensable asset to the Straight Line team.
